AATAMS Technician

SIMS is seeking a suitably qualified technician for the position of AATAMS Technician to help coordinate the Australian Acoustic Tagging and Monitoring (AATAMS) program.
AATAMS is deploying acoustic receivers off the Australian coast to monitor the movements of sharks, bony fish and large invertebrates. AATAMS will also deploy an array of submerged receiving stations that will complement those of the Ocean Tracking Network (OTN), a global initiative led by Prof Ron O'Dor, Canada.
The primary purpose of the technician position is to support the AATAMS Technical Officer and provide support to the Australian Animal Tagging and Monitoring System, including extensive periods deploying and servicing equipment in remote locations for extended periods
