Introducing Steph Morison – our new Development Manager at SIMS

Steph Morison has recently joined the SIMS Foundation as our new Development Manager to further develop our strategic philanthropy program and to support our community of volunteers.

Steph’s position is in partnership with UNSW, where she was previously an International Development Manager for North America. She is passionate about conserving our marine environments – she grew up splashing around the rockpools and beaches down at Tuross Heads on the Far South Coast of NSW, not far from Montague Island where SIMS’ resident Australian fur seals call home.

One of the things that has struck her since joining SIMS has been the sense of community and genuine collaboration between the university partners. ‘I am passionate about the impact that universities can have when they get together. It has been exciting to learn more about projects such as Operation Crayweed, and the Sydney Harbour Research project that are led by academics from multiple universities.’

Please reach out to Steph if you want to learn more about how you can support our research and education programs at SIMS – she is always up for a chat and looks forward to discussing SIMS with you!
