‘Secrets of Sydney Harbour’ at the Australian National Maritime Museum
One of
the highlights of the work we do here at SIMS is getting to meet, educate, and
learn from the future generation of marine scientists.
This year we were so excited to
be a part of the Secrets of Sydney Harbour workshop as a part of Science Week, hosted by the Australian National Museum. We were
joined with our partners at the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage and UTS: University of Technology .

Guests
had the opportunity to explore cutting edge ocean and marine science work from
across the country in a series of interactive programs inside the ‘Sydney
Harbour Laboratory’, where they got hands-on with underwater drones and ocean
plastics, explored virtual reality seafloors and investigated the beauty of
some of the harbour’s smallest animals.
